Spring Has Sprung

Happy Spring! This post is my apology tour for falling off with the blog and social media without pre-announcing a hiatus. Life has been kicking my ass, and I didn’t initially realize how long it would be before I got back into it back when I…first stopped posting? Does one “first stop posting”? The lack of grammatical options available to describe a nonaction kind of gets at how this kind of thing can happen.

As I was saying on one of the author Discord servers I’m in, I may be embarrassed about dropping the blog for longer than I wanted to, but at least it’s not like I was in the middle of working with anyone on anything. At worst, I only look flaky. Call me your friendly neighborhood biscuit.

Things the biscuit has on the burner for 2026-2027: Four writing projects, of various lengths and stages of completion. The Twelve Tasks audiobook, which is still in the cards once I finish the new cover. I’m looking forward to blogging as well–I have a couple more posts in the works, including one about how to discuss the 1970s-90s Romantic Fantasy genre and its “‘romantic fantasy’ sounds like fantasy romance” ungoogleableness.
